Corpus-C in the media

"Design with brightness"

DeviceMed

Glass fibres offer a lot of opportunities for designing innovative light concepts in the medical technology area. For thinkable applications, technology group Schott have developed a new module, with Corpus-C creating several creative design solutions – such as lighting systems for service robots or magnetic resonance scanners.

"’Apple design’ in medical devices"

MEDICINE+elektronics

A current trend analysis for the topic “medical design” states consumer electronics - especially apple – as being a leading influence on the design of medical devices. The colour contrasts gains significance with black and white becoming increasingly popular. Concerning professional and home care, ‘ambient styling’ will make the technically striking hospital bed more welcoming.

Medizindesign 2012: Schwarz-Weiß

Focal point: Colour

Design Report

We are strongly engaged in medical technology, a sector which is more conservative when it comes to using colour. Whilst white remains the dominant colour, cream-white has become outdated and has now been replaced by the more modern snow-white, which has become increasingly popular within the medical field.

"Outsourcing - curse or cure?"

Meditronic-Journal

There are many reasons to outsource areas of work or tasks. At what time does it make sense to turn to a service provider? Please substantiate your answer with examples if possible:

The collaboration with external partners can have decisive benefits compared to in-house processing.

"Product design in medical technology"

Meditronic-Journal

We are often asked this sort of question: “What are the qualities of good design in the field of medical technology?” This question could not simply be answered without going into detail for the respective product. Terms such as nice, aesthetic, practical etc. are not substantial enough to help us advance.

"Engineering and production set no boundaries"

Technical Review

Pharmaceutical manufacturers need very flexible processes in production, which at the same time meet the stringent safety requirements. As a full-range-supplier, Sartorius Stedim Biotech have developed the new stainless steel trolley “FlexAct” that ensures flexible handling of different fluid-transfer-applications. The design of the new product is systematically deployed for the differentiation in the market. Experienced industrial designers created an ergonomic and reliable shape.

"Product design – reduces complexity and increases functionality"

Device Med

‘Design is just a cost’ is a wide spreading statement. But it depends on the task, the consulting and the professional competence of the designer. That means: The investment costs for product design should nowadays be repaid within a very short time. Sebastian Maier, CEO at Corpus-C is certainly an advocate of this.

"Design reduces the costs"

Pharmaceutical Marketing Journal

"Design reduces the costs" – medical support is not only an ordinary basic need, but a service with high demands on the product design. (Author: Sandra Fösken). "Good Design is the result of a fair balance between Marketing, Development and Design", says Sebastian Maier.

Design Report

The concept for “XS” designed by the Fürth design agency Corpus-C shows what a mobile ultrasound device could look like in the future. Without any client specifications and requirements the team designed a high tech workplace combining geometrical shapes and freeform surfaces. The coloured light is interesting, giving the device an attractive and positive appearance. This endeavour should generate a positive aura on the patient – therefore having a friendly, but also serious and reliable effect.
